The most common of fake citrine is amethyst that is heated and turns an orange or yellowish color. Clear quartz dyed with yellow tones has also been sold as 'Citrine" as well. The reason for this is that Amethyst and Clear Quartz are some of the most abundant stones in the world. Citrine however is not. It is rare. Even though Citrine is in the Quartz family just as Amethyst and Clear quartz are. The Citrine in this listing is Real All Natural Citrine.
